The first NAA meeting of the season is in the books and there is lots to talk about. We’ll have an updated Constitution here on the website in the coming days to reflect changes voted on at the meeting this evening.
We’ve also got a brand new VP of Swimming. We thank Jason Galet for his service. He’ll hand the swimming baton to David Emory who is well known to the NAA with years of swim coaching experience. Dave’s contact information is on the NAA Executive page.
There are numerous updates to the calendar including a Guppy Swim Meet at VYC (for swimmers 6 and under) and a Lifeguard challenge at WES. You’ll also see that Synchro Prelims are on the same dates as scheduled but have changed from A-Division and B-Division to Solo and Duet Prelims on one day and Team Prelims on the next day. Calendar updates can be found on the 2016 Calendar page.
There’ll be more updates to come in the coming days so stay tuned!

It’s time to get the season underway! Our first NAA meeting of the 2016 season will take place on Monday, May 16th at 7pm at the Dorval Community Center. Please read this entire message for the complete agenda.
Hi, I’m Steve Batah, the President of the NAA and I wish all of you a big welcome to the 2016 NAA season!
The NAA Executive Committee has set the gears in motion to start planning the upcoming competitive season. For those of you who are not familiar with the North Shore Aquatic Association, we are an organization that brings together 19 outdoor community pools for a series of fun and friendly competitions which include swimming, water polo, diving and synchronized swimming. These weekly competitions provide a framework for children, teenagers and even some parents to compete against other pools in a very friendly way. Participation in these aquatic sports is accessible to all no matter what their skill level. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate. A team of young lifeguards will coach and encourage your child to participate by making practices and competitions fun and rewarding.
We’ll have more announcements for you very soon on our upcoming meetings and events! If you don’t want to miss anything, make sure you are following us on Twitter: @NAA_Notices.
It’s not too late to be an NAA lifeguard for the 2016 season! Westpark Pool is seeking 2 or 3 Junior or Intermediate lifeguards to round out their roster. Contact manager Andrew Belcher at (514)294-3858 or by email at: andrewbelcher5@hotmail.com.
We’re getting ready over here for the 2016 NAA Season so you’ll see a few changes in the menu. The 2015 results have all now been moved to the NAA Historic Results page along with previous year’s results. The main menu will now direct you to the new 2016 pages which we’ll be filling in following the first and second NAA meetings in May and June where schedules for events are finalized.
Enjoy the holiday season but don’t eat too much turkey… you’ll need to stay in shape for swimming, diving, synchro and waterpolo in the summer!
Our constitution has been updated from votes taken on the August 24th, 2015 NAA meeting. You can find the updated document on the NAA Constitution page.
