Swim Team Dual Meets scores are all in

swimming_iconWe know you’ve been waiting and you need wait no longer!  The 2016 Dual Meet swimming season is complete.  The scores are all in and posted on the Swim Team page.  As you can see, there are great scores from all the athletes and all the pools.  Congratulations to everyone who participated!

We now move into the second phase of the NAA Season.  Based on the dual meet scores we will dever mine the swim lanes for the Time Trial Preliminary heats on Saturday.  Remember that only a limited number of competitors for each event in each age group can participate and that each competitor is limited to how many events they can qualify in.  Then based on the Time Trials Preliminary results, we’ll know who will qualify for the annual Big Meet a week later!

We encourage both qualifier and non-qualifier swimmers and their families to come out to the Time Trials and Big Meet to cheer their pool teams.

2016 Summer Swimmers Meet one for the books!

swimming_iconDespite all efforts to complete the meet, Mother Nature would not cooperate! Thunderstorms finally had the meet called after event 21, the last event fully completed. Despite the inclement weather, the athletes were magnificent and the final scores will stand after event 21.

Our congratulations to Ecclestone who ended Valleycrest’s 3 year domination of the Summer Swimmers meet by a single point! Our thanks to Valleycrest for their wonderful hosting efforts and to everyone who attended.

Complete results can be found on the 2016 Summer Swimmers Meet page.

Time to get ready for the Summer Swimmers Meet

It is perhaps the best event of the NAA Season; the Summer swimming_iconSwimmers Championship Meet.  And, it’s this Saturday, July 23rd at Valleycrest Pool.  If you’ve not been to the Summer Swimmers Meet before, you’ve been missing out.  This meet is open only to those athletes who have not recently competed in winter aquatic sports.  It is structured without the Open category or relays because it has the potential to be huge!  For complete details, see the attached Summer Swimmers meet package.

Synchro Prelim Draws are now posted

synchro_iconEvery year the synchronized swimming coaches meet to determine the order of competition for the preliminary meets. The coaches literally draw team names out of a hat (ok, it’s usually a zip-lock bag but you get the idea!). We have the draws already completed for this season for the preliminary competitions and for the Pre-Junior Finals competition (because there is no prelim for pre-junior). Once the prelims are complete, the draws for finals will be done and we’ll post those as well. You can find the draws for prelims and for Pre-Junior Finals on the 2016 Synchro page.
