It’s been a remarkable day at Thorndale in Pierrefonds where the pool celebrated its 50th anniversary today. Aside from the carnival atmosphere, there were members and staff from years gone by to celebrate this remarkable anniversary. For 50 years Thorndale has served the local community with lessons, activities, competition and good old fashioned fun. Literally thousands of people have learned to swim there and it has started the careers of more than one national level athlete.
We at the NAA take our hats off to you Thorndale. Great work and congratulations on your first 50 years!

The NAA Summer Swimmers Meet of 2015 is in the books and what a day it was! This year, participation was at an all time high with 340 NAA athletes participating. The Summer Swimmers Meet Championship is open to NAA athletes who are not in a winter swimming program and the competition is fierce!
Our congratulations to Valleycrest whose win today gives them a three-peat in the meet! The win wasn’t easy. Thornday and Ecclestone were hot on Valleycrest’s heels. All three pools were within 22 points of each other at the end.
Our thanks to Glenmore for hosting such a great meet and to all the officials, staff, athletes, parents and of course, volunteers who contributed to a wonderful event.
