There is a specific process for awarding the 2010 NAA Events which can be found in the Constitution. To make it easier to figure out what events might work for your particular pool, I've attached the draft NAA 2010 Schedule.
Here is the NAA Event Award process:
1.3.1 The host pool for All NAA Preliminary events and Championship meets will be selected no later than September 1st of the year prior to the meet. Teams who hosted a Final or Preliminary meet in either of the two (2) previous seasons are not eligible to host the same meet the next season unless no other pool wishes to host.
1.3.2 For each event to be awarded the following procedure will be executed in order:
- Announcement of the next event to be awarded including a brief description and the date(s).
- Open the floor for nominations. Any pool may announce its intent to run for the award of this event.
- In the event no pool runs for the event, the meeting will be suspended until a pool agrees to host the event. A pool must be identified for each event unless the membership agrees (by majority vote) to defer the award until a later date.
- In the event only one pool runs for the event, the event is immediately awarded
- If there are 2 or more pools which wish to run for the event, each pool, in the order they were nominated will be given a brief (maximum 5 minutes) period to describe why their pool should be awarded the event
- When all pools have made their presentations, a vote will be taken according to the rules of the NAA where a maximum of two votes (which must be present) may vote per pool.
- The pool with the most votes will be awarded the event.
This procedure is then duplicated for each event to be awarded. NAA rules regarding the eligibility of a pool for a particular award will be enforced.
The order of events awarded will be:
