Big Meet 2022 is now in the history books!

First of all, our thanks to Ecclestone for putting on a spectacular meet.  In particular, we thank the committee, the staff, the countless volunteers, the City of Kirkland, the sponsors, and, of course, the parents and athletes.  What a great in-person comeback!
There are lots of results to share.  You can see the detailed event-by-event results on the Big Meet page.  The swim team score results have been updated on the Swim Team page.
Our congratulations to Fairview for winning the A Division, Glenmore for winning the Big Meet, Ecclestone for winning B Division, and Briarwood for winning C Division.  Congratulations to Elm Park for winning the 8 and Under and to Ecclestone for winning the Most Improved trophy!
In 2023:
  • Ecclestone will move from B Division to A Division
  • Briarwood will move from C Division to B Division
  • TMR will move from A Division to B Division
  • Westpark will move from B Division to C Division
We’d like to congratulate the Elm Park Men’s open Men’s 200M freestyle relay. Their time of 1.40.09 beat the NAA Record held by Sunnybrooke since 2009 with a time of 1:40.40.  The Elm Park team included: Kevin Bertrand, Jonathan Gagné, Daniel Parisien and Thomas Latimer.
The team has dedicated this race to the memory of Jason Ochiai, a longtime member of our NAA community and previous record holder of the Open Men’s relay team.

Get ready for the 2022 Big Meet!

The annual NAA Championship Big Meet is coming up this Saturday at Ecclestone Pool.  You’ll find the complete meet package with everything you need to know on the Big Meet page.  The package is for parents, volunteers, coaches, officials and, of course the athletes.

Once results come in we’ll be updating the Big Meet page with detailed results and the Swim Team page with the team scores and winners of our different trophies.

Swim Team Dual Meet season for 2022 is complete!

We have just completed another Dual Meet season in the NAA!  You can find all the team scores on the Swim Team page.  For C Division, we have replaced the off-weeks with an average score of the other meets for that pool  and have marked those scores in bold.  These results will determine the lane placement in tomorrow’s Time Trials.

Now we shift into Finals mode in two parts.  Tomorrow will be the Time Trial preliminary heats for each division.  A, B and C divisions will compete and then results from all three meets will be compiled together to find the top twelve swimmers in each event.  No pool can have more than two swimmers in a single event so for 10 and under swimmers who might have three swimmers in a preliminary, only the top two can move on to the Championship Finals.

From across the NAA the top twelve swimmers and Relays in each event will compete next week in our annual Championship Big Meet!

Congratulations to each and every athlete who contributed to your team in the dual meet season and good luck to all athletes who will be competing in the Time Trials tomorrow and the Big Meet next week!
