Constitutional Proposal: Waterpolo:
Submitted by: NAA Executive – Waterpolo, Various changes.
5.1 General
New:
5.1.5 The number of players in the water shall consist of 5 swimmers and 1 goalie. Teams may play with 4 swimmers and 1 goalie should both teams be in agreement.
5.3 Rules of Participation
Current:
5.3.4 The FINA tiebreaker procedure shall be applied to all games tied at the end of regulation time.
Change:
5.3.4. Regular season games may end in a tie. No overtime or shootouts shall occur.
5.3.5 Playoff and Finals games that are tied following regulation play will be decided by playing two 3-minute quarters, followed by a (3 player) shootout if necessary.
5.5 Preliminary – Playoffs Competitions
Current:
5.5.6 The top eight teams in each category from the dual meet season will make the playoffs.
Change:
5.5.6 The top eight teams in each category from the dual meet season will make the playoffs. If a team withdraws prior to the start of the playoffs, the VP may select an alternate (Team 9, 10, …) to replace that team, in their current scheduled game time.
5.8 Mixed 12 and under Games
Current:
5.8.2 The Games may consist of boys and girls (mixed), all games shall consist of four (4) periods of four (4) minutes each of running time

Time Trials Award Costs

2.5.10 All finishers in the Time Trials will receive ribbons or equivalent recognition of participation. Costs to be borne by the host pool of Time Trials.
